Frédérique Bergholtz is co-founder and director of “If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part of Your Revolution,” a curatorial production house for performance related art and research based in Amsterdam. Founded in 2005 in Amsterdam, “If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution” produces artworks and thematic programmes, exploring the evolution and typology of performance and performativity in contemporary art. “If I Can’t Dance” has borrowed the model of collaborative working from the theatre by investing in an elaborated programme that develops through its very enactment, at each event and at each location, over time.
For Artissima director Frédérique Bergholtz and curator Susan Gibb will devise a programme of performances that will unfold over the three day period of the fair.
